What exactly is an Impact Kit?
Impact Kits are ready-to-run volunteer activities designed for teams to complete together. Each kit includes the materials and instructions your team needs to create items that support a specific nonprofit cause.
You choose the activity that fits your team, order the kits online, bring your team together to complete them, and follow the included instructions for returning the finished items.
In short: you get the team together, and we make the volunteering part easy.
Am I purchasing kits, or booking a facilitated event?
The Impact Kits available in our shop are designed as self-guided volunteer experiences that your team can run on its own.
Everything you need to complete the activity is included, along with clear instructions, so you do not need an external facilitator to organize the experience.
If you're looking for a larger or fully facilitated employee volunteering experience, Visit.org also offers additional corporate engagement solutions.
Where do the completed kits go, and how do I know they are really needed?
Every Impact Kit is connected to a nonprofit partner and a real community need.
Visit.org works directly with nonprofit organizations to develop meaningful activities based on the items and support they actually need. This means your team does not have to research charities, verify organizations, or figure out what to donate.
The nonprofit connection is already built into the experience.
How far in advance should I order?
Please allow approximately 3 weeks from the time you place your order for your Impact Kits to arrive.
If your event is coming up sooner, contact us before placing your order and we’ll let you know what options may be available.
Planning an event further in advance? You can place your order now and contact our team to coordinate delivery closer to your event date.
How many people can participate?
Impact Kits are designed to make team volunteering accessible to smaller companies and teams, with many activities available for groups starting at 10 participants.
Each product page shows the minimum order quantity and pricing so you can quickly understand what works for your group.
For larger teams, multiple offices, or more complex requirements, our team can help you determine the best setup.
Can we run an Impact Kit activity with a remote or hybrid team?
Yes. Impact Kits can work well for remote and hybrid teams.
All kits are shipped to one central address. If your team is distributed, you can receive the full order at one location and then send the individual kits to team members before the activity.
How much do I actually need to organize?
Very little. That's the point.
You do not need to:
- Find and vet a nonprofit
- Research what items are actually needed
- Source materials from multiple suppliers
